Our History and Philosophy:
Creative Kids Preschool was started in 1998 with just 12 preschoolers.  The founder had been working for Satori, a school for gifted children using Gardener’s theory of Multiple Intelligences, and went through the N.A.E.Y.C. accreditation process there.  We decided to open our own pre-school, using some of the same principles learned there, but also allowing the celebration of Christian holidays so children receive a nurturing “whole child” education: academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  We opened our infant room in December, 2008.

Our Mission:
To provide an outstanding, Christian, early childhood program using our multi-experiential curriculum in a safe, clean environment, developing children from 4 weeks to 8 years into their full potential,  while providing friendly customer service to families from Tucson, Oro Valley and Marana.

Our Vision:
To continue to provide an outstanding early childhood program for a strong foundation so every child will be successful in kindergarten and beyond.  “Educating tomorrow’s leaders one hug at a time.”

General Info: A gymnastics and movement teacher does classes at no extra charge for 2 years and up. A developmental assessment is done on each child in the spring and parent-teacher conferences are available to discuss results. Our Student-to-Teacher ratios are generally lower than state ratios, especially in the mornings when the majority of structured learning time occurs.  Teachers are required to be C.P.R. and first aid trained and to have a fingerprint clearance card with a background check.  Many of our teachers have been with us for several years, all have high school diplomas and many have college degrees.  Our 3-year-old teacher, Ms. Kim, has extensive Montessori training.  Our teachers are required to receive 18 hours of additional training each year, 50% higher than the state requirement.
